Vikas is currently leading Product Operations for consumer electronic devices at Google. Over the past 10 years he has held various operations and engineering positions at Google and Apple helping ship many different products such as phones, wearables, AR/VR, home automation, and more. This has enabled him to travel around the world on business trips to meet and work with suppliers. He holds an MBA degree from The University of Texas at Austin, a MS Electrical Engineering degree from USC, and a BS Computer Engineering degree from UC Irvine. He immigrated to the US at age 3 and grew up in the bay area, but lived in southern California for 6 years while attending undergrad and masters, and lived in Texas for 5 years while working at IBM and attending business school. He has been happily married for 10 years and lives in Willow Glen with his wife. He enjoys traveling abroad, learning about history, and enjoying wine. He is a newcomer to the game of golf which provides a safe way to social distance with friends and get fresh air during COVID-19 enforced shutdown.
