YOUTHSAVA 2026

Official Youthsava Rules and Guidelines 2026

ICC is back with Youthsava 2026 to celebrate the vibrant and energetic spirit of our youth.

YouthSava, named after the Sanskrit word “Utsava”, which means a celebration, is India Community Center’s signature Dance Competition. This fun, high-energy dance gala provides a platform for the children and youth, 4-18 years of age, for showcasing their dancing talent and also helps connect participants and the audience to our Indian culture and heritage. Annually, more than 750 students participate in this and perform nearly a 100 dance routines and present to an audience of more than 3,000 throughout the 12-hour competition.


Youthsava 2026 Categories have changed.

Please read rules & guidelines carefully.


Teams must adhere to the definitions stated in this document to qualify for the competition.

Please follow these steps for TEAM REGISTRATION.

1. Fill out the Youthsava Competitive Teams Registration Form

2. Make payment for the team registration.

Registration Fee for teams: $195 (Per Category- Team, including one Director, one Assistant Director)

Please note: ICC LED Screen on the stage will NOT be available for use for any competitive category.

AGE REQUIREMENT FOR COMPETITIVE  CATEGORIES:
Sub-Junior Category – 4 to 8 years *
Junior Category – 9 to 13 years*
Senior Category – 14 to 18 years*
Adult Category – 18 years and above*

 

DIRECTOR’S CHOICE THEMES for 2025:
4 to 18 years*
  • Kaal (Time)
  • Ummeed(Hope)
  • Virasat (Heritage / Legacy)

 

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY:
The First, Second, and Third place awards for the top two scoring teams in each category, within each age group.
Performances will be judged on how well the theme has been interpreted by the directors.
All other rules regarding music, props, adjudication, etc. apply here.

 

SHOWCASE:
Presented by ICC Bollywood by Amit & Hiren

 

FOOD:
Food and beverages can be bought on-premises, but will not be allowed inside the Malavalli Hall. For your safety and the safety of all persons on ICC premises, please eat or drink at the designated area or outside the building.

Join the Fun! Become a Volunteer!

We are looking for responsible and energetic adults and teens to help out at Youthsava!  Must enjoy working with young people and be a team player. As Youthsava is a competition, we ask friends and family of the competitors not to participate as volunteers.  Thank you for your understanding.
