DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of fund-raising aspects including, the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns. The Director works closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors in all development and fund-raising endeavors.

- Have knowledge and experience in fund raising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising.

- Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.
- Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
- Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
- Build the planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequest expectancies.
- Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
- Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives.
- Coordinate fund raising special events.
- Direct employee fundraising drives.
- Develop and complete prospect research as appropriate.
- Work closely with CEO, and Board of Directors.
- Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about the mission and accomplishments of ICCwith the community.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective board member candidates
- Regularly meet and nurture board member relationship and engagement with ICC
- Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
- Supervise and collaborate with other fundraising staff.
- Oversee creation of publications to support fund raising activities.
- Maintain gift recognition programs.
- Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- Applied understanding of basic fundraising principles and development best practices
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Database and spreadsheet proficiency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with online fundraising, email marketing, and internet research
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum five years of fundraising or non-profit experience
- Previous management experience a plus
- Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a part-time position and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, administration, and marketing of Community Events & Programs offered by ICC. The Community Programs Manager will report to the CEO, based in ICC Milpitas. The Community Programs Manager must be available evenings and weekends, as needed, to ensure the smooth operation of events, including:
- Ensuring ICC events are in line with its mission delivering a variety of programs that have a strong focus on serving young children, youth, and families, including seniors
- Providing oversight of event/program management activities, development & execution
- Assisting with financial management, marketing, public relations, and partner development to ensure fiscal sustainability and program growth
Representing ICC to coordinate activities with City officials, other City departments, outside agencies, and community-based organizations as appropriate
PROGRAM AND EVENT PLANNING & EXECUTION:
- Plans events and programs in fulfilling the organization’s mission and goals.
- Develops new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Develops and implements long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs/events.
- Develops an annual budget and operating plan to support the programs.
- Develops a program/event evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program/events and to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate all event logistics, publicity and collateral material design, production and distribution.
- Oversees the collection and maintenance of records on the program/event participants for statistical purposes while adhering to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization.
- Monitors trends, growth areas and makes strategic recommendations to grow the program.
- Work closely with and negotiate with external vendors to coordinate partnership and services for program/events.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that the program/events operate within the approved budget
- Monitors and approves all budgeted expenditures.
- Manages all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all financial records for the program/events are up to date.
- Identifies and evaluate the risks associated with all activities and takes appropriate action to control the risks.
- Manages fiscal operations including budget development and authorization of expenditures.
- Monitors the program/events financial health and makes recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer.
SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:
- Develops, directs and implements public relations and communication strategies to support program/event goals, expand participation and increase community awareness.
- Collaborates within the organization and with other partners/community groups to strengthen and expand the program/events.
- Creates and maintains best practices to attract, train and recognize staff.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates considering applying for this position should have the following qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal with the ability to lead and motivate
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively coordinate, juggle, and prioritize workload, with the ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
- Superior written and verbal communication, with experience in public speaking
- Excellent judgment with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to anticipate potential problems and issues
- Strong negotiating skills, with the ability to handle conflict constructively and exercise independent judgment
- Able to work independently
- Positive energy and great teamwork dynamic.
- Candidates must be comfortable navigating interdisciplinary settings and must be willing to roll up their sleeves and be actively involved in day-to-day operations

AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position requires a commitment to the ICC Mission and its core values of: Unite. Serve. Celebrate as well as a commitment to the ICC After School Philosophy.
A Child Care After School Teacher Aide assists the teacher in implementing activities for a group of children. A Teacher Aide must meet minimum California licensing requirements.
Administrative duties may include:
- Curriculum planning and implementation (organizing resources/supplies/books for the day)
- Prep the classroom before the children arrive with planned activities
- Maintain a clean and organized facility (includes classroom toys and equipment indoor/outdoor)
- Build positive relationships with other staff members, children and parents (good communication skills)
- Performing housekeeping tasks in the classroom (set up and clean up after activities and snack/lunch)
- Perform clerical tasks (making and maintaining lists/logs about items needed for the classroom)
- Accompany and supervise students going on bathroom breaks and recess and other activities (will need to assist/change clothes of children incase of bathroom accidents)
- Assist the teacher on an instructional level. As a teacher aide, you will be required to reinforce the instruction the teacher provides to students. She may request that you work with some students on an individual basis or in small groups
QUALIFICATION:
- Prior references and experience (required) working with children in an organized program.
- Certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid (or be certified within 30 days of hire).
- Complete Live Scan/Fingerprinting on the day of hire.
- Proof of medical/TB exam completed within 3 days of hire.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Applicants must carry valid California drivers license and work permit
- Applicants must be over 25 years of age
- After School Teachers Aide position will require you to pick up children from the nearby schools that we cater to and bring them to the ICC facility
