Chess camps

After producing World class players and Olympians from Table Tennis camps, ICC is now moving forward to offer professional chess program with World class instructors.

·         Get an in-depth view into the world of chess through games, activities and practice.
·         The strategy and moves of chess teach children how to focus and think ahead in various aspects of life.
·         This program is known for their success in helping children build a vast array of skills; ranging from development in concentration, logical thinking and even mathematical performance.

 
Instructor:
Gaurang Mehta (Chief Coach) is the former coach of Indian National teams for Olympiads & World championships. He has accompanied Grand masters and current top players from India V. Anand (current World Champion), D. Barua, Shashikiran, Harikrishnan, Pravin Thipsey and many more. Gaurang Mehta is FIDE rated and also International arbiter. In USA Gaurang Mehta trained Camaron Wheeler (medal winner at 2010 World Championship), Alisha Chavla (2 times World championship player from USA) & Arun Lakani (U 7 boys National Champion).
 
Different chess experts will assist Gaurang Mehta for all the camps.

Cost: $295/per camp/full week 
Max number of students in each class: Ten
Lunch Option: Vegetarian meal available with $40/week
Afternoon extended care: Available from 3pm-6pm with $75/week. 
Morning extended care: Available from 8:00am-9:30am with $35/week
 
Discounts: 
Multiple camp discounts: $15 (will apply to Chess camps, Art camps & Table Tennis camps)
ICC membership discount: $10/camp
Sibling discount: $10/camper/camp
 
We will award one trophy in each group for each week.
 
 

Bobby Fisher Group - Fresh, beginner or entry level

 
Preferred age: 5-7 yrs
Time: 9:30am-3:00pm
9:30-10:30-Rules, Basic concepts
10:30-11:30-Playing
11:30-12:30-Easy Puzzles and fun with Chess activity
12:30-1:30-Lunch Break
1:30-3:00(1.5 hrs of Table Tennis with ICC's world class coaching team)

Anand Group – Intermediate Group

 
Preferred age: 7-9yrs
Time: 9:30am-3:00pm
9:30-10:30-Playing like Tournament
10:30-11:30-Tactics and Puzzles
11:30-12:30-Theory and Opening Study
12:30-1:30-Lunch Break
1:30-3:00(1.5 hrs of Table Tennis with ICC's world class coaching team)
 
 

Kasparov Group – Advance Group

 
Preferred age: 9-14 yrs
Time: 9:30am-3:00pm
9:30-10:30-Tactics and puzzles
10:30-11:30-Game Analysis and Opening Study
11:30-12:30-Playing with clocks.
12:30-1:30-Lunch Break
1:30-3:00(Any two additional activities from kids Yoga, Art, Aerobics or Table Tennis)
 
 
Camp Refund and Cancellation policy for camps 
In order for ICC to process a refund, credit or transfer we must receive an email 4 weeks prior to start of your camp. If we receive your written email before 4 weeks, refunds will be processed less a $50 processing fee.
Refunds will not be permitted within 4 weeks of start date of the camp. No transfers or credits will be permitted within 4 weeks of start date of the camp.
