Tanuja Shukla is an executive with over 15 years of experience in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship in the banking and engineering verticals. Tanuja is a co-founder of Spend Labs, a fintech startup that empowers users to better control and efficiently manage expenses in real-time from their phone. Prior to Spend Labs, she joined an engineering firm called Innovative Technical Solutions, Inc (ITSI), as Director of Financial Strategy and grew to become its Chief Strategy Officer. After business school, she served as management consultant, where she led engagements designed to improve shareholder value at several of the nation’s largest banks. In this role, her teams delivered over $300M in profit improvements by: identifying underpenetrated relationships and geographies, advising a shift in branch footprint to increase deposit and loan share, designing product bundles to deepen client relationships and creating dedicated service models to profitably serve small customers. Prior to this, Tanuja spent several years working at Charles Schwab, in their internal consulting and investor relations groups. Tanuja earned an MBA from the Wharton School in 2005 and bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC San Diego in 2000.
