About Teed Rockwell:

For over thirty years, Teed Rockwell has been playing many forms of world music on the touchstyle Veena—a guitar-like instrument which is played by tapping the strings with the fingertips, making it possible to play a separate part with each hand. Rockwell has performed in concerts and recordings with traditional musicians from many different cultures, including South America, Africa, China, and Ireland.

About Tharini Nagarkar:

Tharini started learning music at the tender age of 4 under the tutelage of Pt. Nagaraj
Rao Havaldar (during her visits to India) and Dr. Sumita Chakraborty right here in
the bay area from 2005 through 2010. She is training in Kirana and Gwalior Gharanas and has performed at several
temples and music programs in Bangalore and the bay area and several baithaks hosted by Pandit Vinayak Torvi Music Foundation and Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha. Her most recent public performance was in August 2017 at the
renowned venue, Gaanabharathi in Mysore.
She has also won several classical music competitions in India and the bay area,
such as “Pratibha Puraskara” an annual event hosted by BSNL in India and
“Chaitradhun”, a classical music competition held by Maharashtra Mandal of the
bay area.
