The India Community Center's Workshop for High School Teens: Build Confidence through Team Building & Public Speaking at ICC's Youthsava

Now in it's 4th year, this teen program provides an opportunity for 9th-12th graders to enhance their leadership and public speaking skills.

In this program, you will learn key skills such as Team Building, Conflict Resolution and Public Speaking.. This program will allow you to develop some of these life-skills in a structured and safe environment. You will also learn about your culture and heritage, and hopefully be inspired by our engaging guest speakers.

This is a unique program to ICC, and we hope you take advantage of this rich educational and fun learning opportunity! It’s a great way to make new friends and connect with the community. In addition, you will receive 8 community service hours for volunteering at ICC’s Youthsava, which can count towards your required high school community service hours.

Program Cost: $99

Requirements (must complete all):

· Must attend all meetings as listed in the schedule below.

· Must attend and participate in ICC’s Youthsava on Saturday, March 31st 2012.

· As a program participant, you will also be given preference to participate as a 2012 ICC Summer Camp Counselor, which is often a very competitive selection process. Must be in High School to participate.

Meeting Schedule:

Sunday March 4: 1-4 pm
Sunday March 11: 1-4 pm
Sunday March 18: 1-4 pm
Saturday March 31: All day for Youthsava

Application Deadline: Feb 20th 2012
Commitment: To be part of ICC’s 2012 Teen Leadership Program, you will need to commit to the following:

* Attend all meetings as listed in the schedule above
* Attend and participate in ICC’s Youthsava on Saturday March 31st 2012

I also give permission for ICC to use my material and/or photos taken as part of this program in any/all promotional literature, website, blogs, newsletters, etc.
If all requirements are met, you will receive a certificate stating completion of participation in the Program and 8 hours of community service.
I commit to the above requirements and am aware that if the requirements are not met, there will be no refund or certificate given.
I commit to paying program fees of $99.
