Specialty Camps  (K-8)

Specialty camps are week long programs centered on one theme. Learn about robotics, various tactics to win chess game and do various science experiments. 

Chess Camp
Ages: (Grades K-8)
Location: Milpitas

  • Get an in-depth view into the world of chess through games, activities and practice.
  • The strategy and moves of chess teach children how to focus and think ahead in various aspects of life
  • This program is known for their success in helping children build a vast array of skills; ranging from development in concentration, logical thinking and even mathematical performance.

Science Camp - Fizz-ical Fun & Che-Mystery
Ages: (GradesK-5)
Location: Milpitas

  • Have a ton of fun as we whip up potions and experiment with all kinds of chemical reactions.
  • Mix it up as we experiment with molecular madness, radical reactions and “fizz”-ical and chemical reactions.
  • Then use everything you’ve learned to solve the Mad science Mystery; even Sherlock couldn’t figure this one out!

Public Speaking- Delivery and Presentation
Ages: (Grades3-8)
Location: Milpitas

  • Is your child stage shy? Or Does your child always want to be on stage?This class is suitable for both personal.
  • Students learn how to manage public speaking anxiety, present themselves with confidence, and connect to their audience with effective and clear speech.
  • It will improve their confidence in public speaking and communication. This class focuses on delivery and presentation skills of the students.

Communication and Leadership Program
Ages:(Grades 3rd-5th)
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Location: Palo Alto (Barron Elementary School)

  • Communication and Leadership program is designed to help kids communicate with confidence with their peers and adults
  • Learn how to initiate friendships and handle friendship issues
  • Understand how to resolve conflict in a variety of ways.
  • Speak your point of view, Develop negotiating skills
  • Explore leadership traits and learn about leadership styles
  • Become a confident Communicator!
  • Performance by the end of the week

Science Camp - Spy Academy

Ages: (Grades K-5)

Location: Milpitas

 

  • From message decoding to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and even create their own edible message.
  • Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis.
  • Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands on view of the science that spies use.

Public Speaking
Ages: (Grades 6th-8th)
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Location: Palo Alto (Barron Elementary School)

  • Build public speaking and leadership skills and become a successful and effective communicator!
  • Incorporating the speech development process
  • Create vivid speeches and deliver with vocal variety
  • Use body language and emotion
  • Learn how to create and present a variety of speeched such as persuasive, impromptu speeches and more!
  • Deliver the speech with little hands on material!
  • Performance by the end of the week

 

Public Speaking – Debate
Ages: (Grades 5th – 9th)
Location: Milpitas

  • Most popular amongst students, this class teaches essentials of Debating.
  • The students learn how to make strong arguments by providing reasoning and evidence.
  • They learn note-taking abilities and be better prepared and confident than the opponent!
  • This also exposes the students to debates if they would like to take in high school.
  • Kids get the opportunity to debate from simple topics to some of the current affairs topics.

Science Camp - Wacky Robots
Ages: (Grades K-5)
Location: Milpitas

  • Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of camp includes lots of both!
  • Campers will discover how different machines: simple and complex, are used in our daily lives.
  • We will use the skills we’ve learned to build a Mad science robot that we can keep, all while learning the science of robotics.

Science Camp - Jet Cadets
Ages: (Grades K-5)

  • This hand on program will let you learn all about aerodynamics and the world above us.
  • Discover the mysteries of the galaxy, learn about celestial navigation, and take home a rocket that you have built yourself
  • We’ll be moving at light speed throughout this high velocity week!
