Registration & Program Policies

 PROGRAM POLICIES

We encourage you to read our CLASS & WORKSHOP POLICIES in their entirety prior to registering for any of our programs so you are aware of what to expect.

ICC POLICIES

Please note that the policies below are in effect starting January 2011 and only apply to classes being offered by the ICC at the ICC Milpitas Campus and the ICC Palo Alto Campus. These policies do not apply to any classes held by the Mona Sampath Dance Company (MSDC) at this time.

ICC programs will be referred to as classes, workshops, or programs. They all mean the same thing and are synonymous for the purposes of our policies explained below.

  • The ICC reserves the right to change instructors, class sizes, class levels, rules and regulations for any and all of its programs. Know that timings and classes are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice and all decisions made by the ICC will be final and binding. The ICC will do it’s best to contact those who have registered 24 hours ahead of time in the case of a cancellation, though is not guaranteed.
  • If the ICC cancels a class or workshop for any reason, the ICC will refund all fees paid by registrants for any classes canceled by the ICC. If a class or workshop is cancelled after sessions have already taken place, the ICC will refund the prorated amount for the sessions not held.

  • Those registered for classes or workshops have 5 business days prior to the first class / start date of a workshop or series of workshops, to cancel their class/workshop and request their money back. The ICC will not charge any administrative fees or penalty fees for those who cancel class 5 business days in advance. For the purpose of these policies, a business day is considered any day Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm day and does not include holidays observed by the U.S. federal government.

  • For those who request a cancellation after the 15 business day period, they will be charged a $15 administrative fee to process any cancellations for classes or workshops (any programs by the ICC).

  • Participants will have 1 full week after the 1st class session to request a cancellation of class & refund of fees. After 1 full week of the first class/workshop session, no refunds of any kind will be made.

  • The ICC does not offer credits for future classes/programs/workshops.

  • Material fees can not be refunded after the 1st day of class. Those who request a cancellation of a class after the 1st class session has already been held will not be refunded a materials fee if it was required for that class/paid by the registrant.

  • The ICC will not prorate any of its programs on an individual basis; the ICC does not encourage it’s instructors to provide make-up sessions for individual students. We understand that special circumstances do arise, however, we will not be providing prorated refunds to those who do not attend a program after the program has already started for that session.

  • Missed classes cannot be made up except those canceled by the ICC & its instructors. The ICC reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop, or program at their discretion.

  • For many kid classes, the instructors or ICC staff may require parents to submit proof of age for the child enrolled in the class. Please be prepared to submit proof of age if requested.

  • Parents are allowed to “sit-in” on classes based on the discretion of the instructor or ICC staff. Parents and family members of participants cannot enter into a classroom unannounced and observe a class/program. Those who enter into a class/workshop unannounced may be asked to leave or pay fees in order to stay. Individuals may make a request to observe a class from the instructor outside of classroom hours.
  • Some classes may have an end of quarter “performance” or “showcase”. Parents and students are allowed to record (video/photograph) the end of quarter performance/showcase and are allowed to invite family & friends if such an event is held.

  • Instructors or the ICC staff has the right to dismiss any child/adult from class for inappropriate behavior or treatment of others in the class/workshop. Inappropriate language, gestures, harassment of any kind and rude or crude actions will not be tolerated at any time. Fighting – verbal or physical – of any kind will result in being dismissed from a class. Anyone who is dismissed from class will not be eligible for a refund of fees.

  • Students will be responsible for bringing appropriate supplies and materials for each class as requested/required by the instructor. Materials fees may be included and should be paid upon registration for the class.

  • Any participant will be held responsible if they are the cause or reason for damage to property or class materials when attending class. They may be asked to replace or pay for damaged property or materials.
  • Non-member parents dropping off children for classes or camps must remain in the foyer area for the duration of the class.  They are not allowed in any other area.
  • Class Attendees are allowed in the foyer area, café and classrooms but may not enter the fitness center without a day pass.
  • Non-member parents dropping off children for classes or camps must remain in the foyer area for the duration of the class.  They are not allowed in any other area.
