ICC offers 2 separate programs for the Girl Scouts to help create awareness about India. The description of these events (as written on the Girl Scout calendar) are included below. Details on the programs and registration can be found on the Girl Scouts of Nothern California web site.
(For Grades 1-6)
Have you ever wondered what a trip to India would be like? Do you like fashion and dance? Join the Girl Scouts of Northern California at the India Community Center for a two hour, hands-on workshop where you can try on Indian saris, get henna art, and try some cool yoga poses. You will also learn a few words in Indian languages and we’ll even have real Indian drums (Tablas) for you to play. The afternoon will end with an opportunity for you to taste the flavors of India and show your spirit with an old fashion camp sing-a-long, India style. If that sounds good to you, come on take the journey to the magical country of India!
Girls earn the following badge for the activity. The specially created badge showcases the ICC logo.

(For Grades 6-12)
Ever wonder what other cultures are like? Here is your chance to explore Indian Culture in a fun sleepover at the India Center! This overnight will immerse girls in the culture of India and allow them to explore the culture through activities such as trying on Indian cloths, learning Bollywood style dance steps in costume, getting henna tattoo, learning language through film and acting, trying some tasty Indian meals and desserts, participating in morning yoga.
