In Partnership with UC Eazy

Overview:
The personal statement (Essay) is an increasingly critical component of college applications, yet many students struggle to produce an essay that enables their unique strengths to shine.
Join us for a 4-part workshop that will equip incoming 12th graders with the strategies they need to craft a perfect essay.

Outcome:
At the completion of the boot camp, the student will have created drafts of two Essays for College Applications – one for the Common Application and the other for UC Personal Insights.

Each essay would be reviewed twice by the Essay coach.
Workshop topics will include:
 What college admissions reps are really looking for
 Differences between UC and Common Application essays
 How to brainstorm and select topics
 Common pitfalls to avoid
 Review & editing of actual essay drafts
