Cultural Camps – Grades K-6

Join ICC’s Cultural Camps which will give the campers a quick tour to India and it’s vibrant culture. These camps include arts, crafts, folk dance/ bollywood dance, music, yoga, Indian history & geography.

All about India
Ages: (Grades K-5)
Location: Milpitas, Sunnyvale & Palo Alto

Each week of camp explores a new theme exploring a period in Indian history or a geographic area. Join us for all the weeks to make sure you travel all over India in one summer right here at ICC! Activities include yoga, Dance, Indian History skits, Indian Geography Games,Indian Crafts, Indian Cooking, Indian Music, Indian Sports and much more fun.

The week ends with a Family Dhamaka where we share what we learned during the week in a special performance for family and friends.

Tales of India
Ages: (Grades K-5)
Location: Milpitas

• Explores India’s history through its fables and mythology.
• Enacting these tales at camp not only brings them to life but also teaches children about India’s cultural heritage.
• Acting encourages creativity & builds confidence.
• Ends with an onstage performance for parents.

Seva Camp: Ventures for Change

Ages: (Grades 6-8)
Location: Milpitas

• At the seva campour super heros create and run a social Business to support a better and just India.
• Explore social and economic chanllenges prevalent to India
• Design, manufacture and sell eco-friendly products.
• Shine as youth action leaders in your school & community.
• Camp in partnership with my ventures.

Hindi Camp
Ages: (Grades K-5)
Location: Milpitas

• Activity based Hindi language camp.
• Campers will learn conversational hindi (day to day phrases) through games, skits and hands on exercises
• Rudimentary writing of vowels and alphabets
• In camp library with bilingual books

Vedic Math
Ages: (Grades 3rd-8th)
Location: Milpitas

• Campers will learn faster, intuitive ways to perform common tasks.
• Think simple to think fast
• One step mental arithmetic techniques based on the vedic sutras taught through games & quizzes.

Folk Dances of India
Ages :( Grades K-5)
Location: Milpitas

• “Folk dances of India” will take its campers on a tour to India’s Dance map exposing them to folk dances from different states of India.
• It will help students understand the Indian dance culture a little better
• Camp choreographed by Vidya Eashwar dance director of “Xpressions” dance school

Bollywood
Ages: (Grades K-6)
Location: Milpitas

• Bollywood Dance Camp provides a creative environment to explore movement, art work, make new friends, have fun and make your kids' summer truly exciting!
• A safe and encouraging environment where kids build confidence focus on team work and make unforgettable memories.
• End of the week we have a special presentation with lights, sound & production where the kids share their dance experience with their family and friends and get a chance to shine on stage.
• This summer is a time to learn, explore and discover with North America's premiere Bollywood company — The Mona Khan Company.

Bollywood -Hip Hop
Ages: (Grades K-6)
Location: Milpitas

• For ages 4 yrs and up, the Bollywood Hip Hop Dance Camp provides a unique experience combining the best of Bollywood with Hip Hop.
• DJs, graffiti, emcee, break dancing, all collide with traditional Bollywood Dance to create a  unique fusion. Fun activities, art work, guest choreographers, fun and games. Demonstration of different Hip Hop styles & stunts; freezes, popping & locking meet "thumkas" and "balle balle."
• End of the week we have a special presentation with lights, sound & production where the kids share their dance experience with their family and friends and get a chance to rock the stage.
