New at ICC, Palo Alto camps

India Community Center in partnership with Smartly U will conduct two short camps on Communication and Public Speaking. These camps are designed to help kids develop Self-Confidence at a young age and become a successful and effective communicator! Some of the core strengths that are developed include assertive communication, present a variety of speeches and effective negotiation skills and more!

Communication and Leadership Program
Ages:(Grades 3rd-5th)
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm

Dates: July23rd -27th
Location: Palo Alto (Barron Elementary School)

• Communication and Leadership program is designed to help kids communicate with confidence with their peers and adults
• Learn how to initiate friendships and handle friendship issues
• Understand how to resolve conflict in a variety of ways.
• Speak your point of view
• Develop negotiating skills
• Explore leadership traits and learn about leadership styles
• Become a confident Communicator!
• Performance by the end of the week

Public Speaking
Ages: (Grades 6th-8th)
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm

Dates: Aug6th-10th
Location: Palo Alto (Barron Elementary School)

• Build public speaking and leadership skills and become a successful and effective communicator!
• Incorporating the speech development process
• Create vivid speeches and deliver with vocal variety
• Use body language and emotion
• Learn how to create and present a variety of speeched such as persuasive, impromptu speeches and more!
• Deliver the speech with little hands on material!
• Performance by the end of the week
